This Privacy Policy explains how Lazy Reels ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information about you when you use our website and services.
1. Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address, name (optional), and a hashed password. When you generate a podcast, we store the inputs you provide (host descriptions, topics, blog URLs), the generated outputs (scripts, avatars, video files), and metadata about each generation (model used, scene count, duration, cost).
We also log basic technical data: IP address, user-agent string, and timestamps of API requests, used for debugging and abuse prevention.
When you opt in to push notifications, we store your browser's push subscription endpoint and encryption keys.
2. How we use it
We use your information to provide the service: rendering videos, sending you completion emails and push notifications, charging your account for API usage, and improving the product. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Third-party services
We share necessary inputs with third-party AI providers to generate your content:
- OpenRouter (script generation) — receives the host descriptions, topic, and blog content you submit.
- Fal.ai (video and image generation) — receives scene prompts and host descriptions.
- Postmark (transactional email) — receives your email address and notification content.
- Stripe (when configured for payments) — handles all card information directly; we never see it.
- Google Analytics and Google Ads — receive anonymized usage telemetry.
4. Generated content visibility
By default, podcasts you create are marked public and appear on the /feed page. You can change any podcast's visibility to private at any time from the watch page. Private podcasts are visible only to you and our administrators.
5. Cookies
We use a single first-party session cookie (lr_session) to keep you signed in. Third-party analytics scripts (Google) may set their own cookies — see their respective policies.
6. Data retention
We retain your account data while your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us. Generated videos are stored on our servers indefinitely unless you delete them.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at our contact page.
8. Children
Our service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
9. Changes
If we update this policy materially, we'll notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top.
